Watching a friend or family member running in the Miami Marathon & Half Marathon is easier than you think! Your runner will follow the course while you take shortcuts to get to your next viewing location before your runner does. However, since the objective here is to both see and be seen, you’ll need to work out a few details beforehand.
1. Make your very own, unique signs that your runner can easily identify.
2. Know your marathoner’s expected pace per mile. Once you know this, you can pick up a pace band at the Total Health & Fitness Expo presented by the Miami Herald & El Nuevo Herald. Consult the pace band and course map to find out at what time your runner will be at the different spots on the course to determine when to be at the Cheer Zone and back at the finish line to catch a glimpse of your marathoner or half marathoner.
