Elite runners and up-and-comers are invited to the Miami Marathon!

Requirements

The Life Time Miami Marathon & Half has updated its elite athlete program. Athletes will receive anywhere from 25% – 100% off the current price of the race at the time the application is submitted. Please see chart below:

2:18:00 & Under: 100% Entry
2:18:01 – 2:25:00: 75% Entry
2:25:01 – 2:30:00: 50% Entry
2:30:01 – 2:32:00: 25% Entry

NEW Male Half Marathon Standards

1:05:00 & Under: 100% Entry
1:05:01 – 1:07:00: 75% Entry
1:07:01 – 1:10:00: 50% Entry
1:10:01 – 1:12:00: 25% Entry

NEW Female Full Marathon Standards

2:33:00 & Under: 100% Entry
2:33:01 – 2:40:00: 75% Entry
2:40:01 – 2:45:00: 50% Entry
2:45:01 – 2:47:00: 25% Entry

**We encourage athletes to apply if they are a few minutes over. Previous results are required. Any application that is submitted without links to online official race results will not be considered. It is the responsibility of the athlete and/or agent to supply accurate and correct internet links to race results.

Rules

  • All Elite Program athletes must attend the mandatory elite briefing session on Saturday afternoon at the race weekend Expo. Athlete packets will be distributed at that time.
  • Each Elite will receive one VIP bag.
  • Each Elite will receive two passes to all official VIP events including the elite hospitality tent within the VIP Pavilion at the post-race Finish Festival.
  • Elite athletes must make themselves available race weekend for media requests.
  • Airfare, hotel, or transportation is no longer provided to elite athletes. We have increased the prize purse to compensate for travel associated with stay.
  • Any athlete who has ever been convicted of a doping violation by USADA, WADA, IAAF, etc. and thus has served a ban from competition in the past or is currently serving a ban from competition is not eligible to compete in the Elite Program at the Life Time Miami Marathon & Half, and thus is not eligible to win any prize money in the full or half marathon.
  • Athletes who participate in this competition may be subject to formal drug testing in accordance with USATF and IAAF rules, in accordance with USOC, USADA or IAAF procedures. Athletes found, after a disciplinary hearing, to be positive for prohibited substances, as defined by the WADA Code and/or IAAF, or who refuse to be tested will be disqualified from this event and may lose eligibility for future competitions. Any prize money payable to an athlete who has tested positive shall be withheld until the final disposition of all disciplinary proceedings. BEWARE: Some prescriptions, over the counter medications and nutritional supplements may contain prohibited substances. Information regarding drugs and drug testing may be obtained by calling the USADA reference hotline at (800) 233-0393 or at www.usantidoping.org.

Athletes interested in applying to the program should complete and submit the form below. Once we have received your Elite Athlete Application form, our Elite Athlete Coordinator will contact you or your designated representative to discuss your eligibility.
