What are the age restrictions?
There is a minimum age of 14 for the half marathon and 16 for the marathon. All minors (under 18 years old) must have a participation waiver signed by a parent/guardian.

Are headphones allowed on course?
We do allow the use of headphones during our races, however, we ask that you run with one earpiece in and one out.

Can I run with a stroller?
Please contact us to learn more about registering to run with a stroller.

Where do I collect my packet?
The Life Time Miami Marathon & Half Expo will be the only place where you can pick up your registration packet. Remember to bring a picture ID.

What are the expo hours?

  • Friday, January 31, 2025 – 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm
  • Saturday, February 1, 2025 – 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

What if I cannot pick up my packet during the expo hours?
If you need to have someone else pick up your packet, you must provide them with a copy of your photo ID and bib number.

Can I have my bib mailed to me?
Registrants who reside within the continental U.S. may opt-in to have their bib delivered via mail prior to race day. Bib mailing offer ends September 30, 2023. Click here for complete details.

What if I cannot complete the course in 7 hours?
In order to comply with event permits as per municipal requirements, the roads will reopen to vehicular traffic in a graduated fashion. We require that participants be properly prepared and trained to complete the full marathon (26.2 miles/42 KM) within 7 hours (16 minutes per mile pace or 10 minutes per KM) after the last wave/corral begins.

Please note that after the 7-hour pace, participant support (e.g. aid and water stations, volunteers, course marshals, clocks, medical assistance, cross street protection, etc.) will not be available, and you will be required to adhere to local pedestrian rules (move to curbsides, break down lanes, sidewalks, etc.)

When does online registration close?
The Life Time Miami Marathon & Half will be capped at 18,000 participants.

Am I able to customize my bib?
Yes, you are able to customize your bib! Simply fill out the Bib Customization and Country Flag fields within the registration process before September 30, 2024 and have your name and country flag printed on your bib.
*If you do not elect a name or country flag, the system will default to your first name and the American flag. The Bib Customization name has a 10 character limit; inappropriate submissions will be deleted.

Do you offer refunds, transfers or deferrals?
No refunds are permitted. However, you may transfer your race entry to another non-registered individual or defer your entry to the following year’s race (fee associated with both options) before the online cutoff Friday, January 24 (11:59 pm ET). Please review the transfer and deferral policy here.

How do I verify that I am registered?

Deferrals allow a participant unable to attend this year’s event to transfer their registration to the following year. The deferral is applied only to the event in question. How do I change distances?
The deadline for changes is Friday, January 24, 2024 (11:59 pm ET). After that date, all changes will be processed at the Solutions Desk at the Expo during Expo hours only. Please make sure to collect your bib number first before heading to the Solutions Booth.

What is the City of Miami Event Surcharge Fee charged within registration?

Can I register the day of the race?
Yes, there will be limited race morning registration from 6:00 am to 7:00 am, space permitting.

How do I verify that I am registered?
Click here to verify if you are registered for the Life Time Tropical 5K (entrants will appear with registration choice ‘Tropical 5K’ within the Life Time Miami Marathon & Half event). Deferrals allow a participant unable to attend this year’s event to transfer their registration to the following year. The deferral is applied only to the event in question. If you would like to defer your entry to next year, please review details here.

When can I pick up my packet?
We encourage all participants to pick up their packet during Life Time Miami Marathon & Half Expo on Friday, January 31, 2025 during Expo hours.

I can’t make it to the Expo! Can I pick up my packet in the morning?
We will hold a limited race morning packet pickup at the registration tent located in front of the Miami Children’s Museum at Watson Island from 6:00-6:45 AM. Arrive on time!!

Where can I park for the race?
The Miami Children’s Museum on Watson Island will NOT be available for parking. Participants may use the parking garages at Jungle Island and in Miami Beach, then use the shuttle to the Start Line from the designated locations. Please make sure to give yourself ample time for morning traffic, finding parking (carpooling is strongly advised) and working your way to the start.

Are there shuttles to the start of the race?
There will be shuttles available for participants starting at 6:00 AM from the Jungle Island parking garage and two designated locations in Miami Beach to the start. Please note: there will be NO shuttles from the start to the finish area.

Are there shuttle buses after the race?
There will be a continuous shuttle service from the finish (Nikki Beach- South Pointe Park) back to the start area (Jungle Island parking garage) and the two designated locations in Miami Beach from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

Where is the post-race party located?
Celebrate your finish with fellow runners at the post-race festivity will be at Nikki Beach (1 Ocean Drive Miami Beach, FL 33139).

Are there finisher medals for this event?
Yes! Everyone who is officially registered with a bib that completes the event will receive a finisher medal.

Are there awards for this event?
Yes, we will be awarding the top three male and female participants in each of the age groups, as well as the top three male and female overall finishers.
